When I was a kid I really looked up to my dad. I thought he was the most intelligent man in the world. Maybe I feel this way because he was my dad but I still held he in high regard when it came to brain power. He had great ideas and I wanted to be just like him when I grew up.
Well one day never came and for years I wondered why one of the greatest minds in the history of man couldnt make in what was ultimately a home based business. There are a few theories that I have come up with that could explain why my father didnt make it to the big time with his inventions. My emotional self wants to blame others but my rational self knows that it was much more than that.
I think back to when dad was developing some great idea that would change the way people did something. My father would get all excited when he told my mom and I about what he was planning to do and my mom and I would get excited too. The only thing is that soon after that the enthusiasm would dissipate and dad would be back to square one.
Once I became an adult I started to figure why my father neve reall maded it big with his inventions or his home busines. It wasn't because he didn't have the excitement and the joy that went along with creating something new. It was the fact that my dad didn't make any real efforts to take any of his creations to market.
Lucky for me this is how I differ from my dad. While he sat and waited for his home based business success to come to him I go out to cease mine because I know success wont come knocking at my door.
I feel that when it comes to the important things in life and things that you want it is better to do than it is to just say what you could do. It is worth making mistakes when the reward could be great in the long run.
This is the price you pay when you want to run a successful home based business.
